Some boat companies only build what everyone else does. It takes much more effort to be truly innovative and creative. That aptly describes the history of Everglades and its founding Dougherty family.
The waters in and around the Gulf of Mexico can be quite rough at times and if your boat does not have the speed and capabilities to handle the stress of it all, you will have problems. The Everglades 320 Cabin EX boats were designed by the best boat designers in the business and you can bet that they put a lot of effort into the performance of this boat. Twin Yamaha 350 hp, V-8 four-strokes top it out at 51mph at 6,100 rpm while using a shade less than 70 gph. She cruises at 35 mph, turning 4,250 rpm, the massive Yammies sipped 25.9 gph.
This boat is equipped with a Kohler Gas Generator, and I point out two important aspects to this: Most outboard-powered boats with generators have diesel models due to the carbon-monoxide issue (diesels don’t issue CO). this Kohler is an Ultra Low CO model that emits close to no carbon monoxide, and since it uses gasoline, it doesn’t require a separate fuel tank.. Additionally, the unit is extremely quiet. Coupled with Everglades’ outstanding soundproofing in the compartment and hatch, you barely hear the generator.
Make no mistake: The Doughertys designed this boat to cruise comfortably. But since they cannot build any boat incapable of fishing well, the 320 has outstanding amenities
Not only is the 43-gallon livewell handsome, but it functions perfectly too, with a lighted blue interior, a Lucite lid and the ability to pressurize it to keep your baits from sloshing around while you run through the roughness to your fishing spot.
Every trolling speed leaves plenty of clear space in the wake for lures and baits to be seen

The cabin is open and airy. The main berth is directly in front of the entrance and converts from a dining table to a full sized berth. An additional full sized sleeping area is located behind the stairs and remains open to the rest of the cabin. The head compartment has all of the essentials with a shower, sink, and toilet. In the galley, you will find ample space for meal prep with a two burner stove, microwave, refrigerator, and sink. Unlike so many cabin boats of this size, the 320 affords comfortable seating around the dinette for four to five adults. The table drops down to make a double V-berth, and one other person (or two people that really like each other) can sleep in the midship single berth.
The Everglades 320EX has no apparent faults. While driving the 320 EX you will find an unobstructed 360-degree “picture-window” view from inside this pilothouse. The gigantic safety-glass windows make you feel all-seeing. The helm has a dedicated 110 V AC system, and 3 electrically actuated vents in the windshield provide natural ventilation.
The helm station features a dash system with plenty of space for the 16” Garmin and an ergonomic design. Optimus EPS w/ Joystick and Sea Station was added to the boat recently and paired with the bow thruster you have all the control you need to look like a Pro at the helm. This boat is also equipped with Garmin Autopilot, Digital Shift and Throttle Controls, Yamaha Digital Gauges, Fusion Stereo, Garmin 200 VHF, Garmin Open Array Radar
If you're looking for a sleek and nimble cabin cruiser that doesn't compromise on fishability, Everglades' 320EX is your boat.
